1 . How do I know if I am ordering a good bar, shake, trail mix or cookie?
Remember, ordering a You Bar is a risk free experience. If you don't like your bars, either send us an email at support@youbars.com or call us at (323) 931-00981, and you can order another box for free!
2. How Many Bars/Shakes/Trail Mixes/Cookies are in a Box?
There are 13 fresh made bars in each box of custom bars and popular bars. There are 13 single-serving custom shakes in each box of custom shakes and popular shakes. There are 13 single serving custom trail mixes in each box of custom and popular trail mixes. Note that often the 13th bar or trail mix is packed outside the box. There are 12 individually wrapped cookies in each tin of custom and popular cookies.
3. What is the shelf life of You Bars?
Given that freshness is one of the best qualities of You Bar, we recommend that you order what you expect to eat within the month. However we put a two-month “best by” date on each bar; and further recommend refrigerating your bars for maximum freshness. Bars with honey tend to have an even longer shelf life.
4. Do the bars/shakes/trail mixes/cookies have nutrition facts, ingredient list, and allergy information on each package?
Yes! There is a custom label on each indivdual bar and shake package that has your custom nutrition facts, ingredient list and allergy information. The exception is cookies which are individually wrapped but only have the name and nutrition facts listed on the tin.
5. Are your products kosher?
Many of our ingredients are kosher, and it is easy to choose a bar, shake or trail mix that utilizes only kosher ingredients; however, our kitchen is not certified kosher.
6. Are your products organic?
Many, but not all, of our ingredients are certified organic.
7. Are your products gluten free?
You may select gluten free ingredients for your bar, shake, trail mix, or cookie however, your recipe may contain traces of gluten because our kitchen also processes recipes with gluten.
8. I have allergies; can you guarantee that my bars, shakes, trail mix and cookies will not contain certain ingredients?
You may select the ingredients in your bar, however, your bar may contain traces of soy, wheat, eggs, milk, tree nuts & peanuts because our kitchen also processes items with those ingredients.
9. I like high protein bars, what is the maximum amount of protein I can have in my bar?
We can usually provide up to 20 grams of protein per bar in a large sized bar, if requested, depending on ingredients chosen.
10. When will my customized You Bar™ order be ready?
Allow 3-5 days for us to make your fresh, customized You Bars, You Shakes and You Trail Mixes. All bars, popular and customized, are custom made in our You Bar kitchen for maximum freshness. You will receive an emailed order confirmation when your order is received.
11. How do you serve You Shakes?
Directions: Combine one package of You Shake with 8-12 oz. soy milk, juice, rice milk, water, dairy milk, or yogurt. Shake or stir until delicious.
- Add crushed ice for a cool smoothie.
- Sprinkle You Shake on hot or cold breakfast cereal for a yummy, nutritional boost.
- Use your imagination for other possibilities. We are sure there are customers who secretly enjoy dry You Shakes right out of the package.
12. How can I get the highest possible amount of protein into the bars?
If You would like more protein in your bar than what you can achieve online with the nutrition calculator, we can increase that here in the shop. Please put in the “special request” box how much you would like, call us at (323) 931-0098 or email us at support@youbars.com and we will do our best to accommodate. For a large bar we can get up to 21g of protein into the bar.
1. How long will it take for my order to ship and arrive?
Once we finish making and shipping your customized bars, shakes and trail mixes you will be emailed a shipping confirmation. We ship USPS Priority Mail. Please allow 2-5 business days for your order to arrive. You will be offered faster shipping options at checkout.
2. Can you email gift certificates or regular-mail gift cards directly to the recipients?
Gift certificates are instantly emailed to you. If you would prefer regular mailing of credit card-style gift cards to your gift recipients, just reply to the emailed gift certificate and send us the addresses of the people on your gift list. We will take care of the mailing at no additional charge to you.
This is a military designated address that allows mail to be delivered to overseas locations at domestic rates.
The format for a military address according to US Postal Service FAQ page:
Instead of a city and state, these addresses use APO (Army Post Office) or FPO (Fleet Post Office), along with "AE" (mail going to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and portions of Canada), "AP" (the Pacific) and "AA" (for the Americas and portions of Canada). Therefore, the bottom line of overseas military addresses is: APO or FPO; followed by AE, AP, or AA; and then the ZIP Code.
4. Does You Bar Ship to an APO or FPO Address?
I am proud to say that we do ship to both APO or FPO addresses. The shipping cost is the same as though we were shipping domestic in the USA. The shipment does usually take a little longer to get there so please allow 7 to 10 days.
5. My order should have arrived by now. What should I do?
If your order has not arrived in 8 business days, please call our customer support at (323) 931-0098 or email us at support@youbars.com.
6. Do You Ship Internationally?
Yes we do! We can ship anywhere internationally. It is $39.99 flat rate (only $19.99 for Canada). Just so you know though, if you have only an international billing address, you will need to contact us via phone in order to complete the transaction, as our credit card processor cannot charge international credit cards. 5. Do you have an automatic recurring order program?
Yes, the You Bar VIP program allows you to have bars automatically shipped at your perfect frequency so you are ensured a supply of fresh bars without having to remember to order.
Our recurring order program is called You Bar VIP. In addition to regular shipments, You Bar VIP’s will receive a gift with each delivery including extra bars, shakes, You Bar flash drive, special promotions, or samples of new products before they are available to the public.
